I am a Clinical Psychologist and member of the British Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Czech Association for Psychotherapy (ČAP), the Czech Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy Society (ČSKBT), the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST), the Schema Therapy Institute for Czechia and Slovakia, and the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT).
After completing my studies in Neuroscience (BSc in Neuroscience at Sussex University, MSc in Neurological Science and PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London) and having worked in human brain research at Hamburg University, I decided to reorient my career towards Clinical Psychology, completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry (IoP, King’s College London).
I am trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy (ST), and in Good Enough Parenting (GEP). I also work with the Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) models. I have worked for over 22 years in various settings: public health (British NHS), at six universities in various countries, and in private practice in Prague.
I am an expat currently based in Prague. Born (1973) and raised in African Spain. I have lived in various European countries. I have travelled and experienced diverse ways of living and thinking. Life has often challenged me and I have learnt to see these challenges as opportunities to grow and widen my understanding of the world and the human potential.
I am a mother, partner, sister, friend, and daughter. I devote my free time to nourishing the relationships with loved ones, to observing and walking in Nature, to dancing, music, reading, writing, and yoga.
